Can you clarify the monthly rent and any other fees or payments?

The rent/property note is outlined in the lease agreement and is varies per property. Lease holders are responsible for paying their own utility bills, including electricity, gas, and water. For more information on our Payment Policy, click here.


How much is the security deposit?

The security deposit varies by property and rent. The property managers will inform you of the security deposit at the same time they give you the monthly rental rate. This amount will also be in your lease agreement.


Under what circumstances will you enter the property?

We understand that this is where you live and feel at home. We will contact you to set up a time before anyone enters your home to do maintenance or for any other reason. The exception would be in an extreme emergency such as a fire, etc.


How will I pay for utilities?

All utilities will be paid by the tenant. At the time of lease signing and receiving the keys, the utilities should be changed to your name with the bill being sent to you. Tenants are expected to maintain utility services at all times, per the lease agreement.


What are the application criteria and what does the screening process consist of?

Applications can be picked up from the Rental Office at 104 Roy Street, Houma, LA 70360, Monday – Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. All adults 18 years and older will be required to provide a current background check through the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office. The last three paycheck stubs and any other proof of income must be provided by anyone signing on the application.


What is the parking situation on the property?

Our properties are single family homes, therefore there will be private parking at each rental.


What is the pet policy?

BSB Rentals, LLC, Legacy Leasing LLC, Maison Rentals, LLC, and Sanron Properties, LLC have a No Pet policy in place.

Are early lease terminations allowed?We strongly discourage lease terminations. Feel free to contact the office with further questions.


Can I sublet the property?

As per our leases, subletting the property is NOT allowed.


Is renters insurance required?

Renter’s Insurance is not required, but it is strongly recommended. You can get quotes online and through your auto insurance company.


How soon can I move in?

Move in dates depend completely on availability, so there is no way to give a blanket answer to this question.


Is there an application fee?

As of publication in April 2026, there is no application fee, other than the required background check provided by all adults 18 years old and older who will be living in the residence.


Will I be able to renew the lease?

Leases may be renewed upon approval from the property owner. Contact the office to request lease renewal.


What is the guest policy?

Guests will be limited to a specific time frame, as stated in the lease, and may not bring their pets.


Will the rent ever increase or decrease?

Rent may or may not increase after a lease is finished, before a new lease is signed, at the discretion of the Property Owner.

Installment sale notes will fluctuate based on the yearly taxes and insurances paid by the property owner for that specific property.


What changes can be made to the property?

All changes a tenant wishes to make to the property must be submitted in a written request to the property managers. Property Owners will approve or deny the request, or ask for further clarification. If denied, the tenant may not make any change.If approved, the tenant should ask for approval in writing and follow the exact changes that were requested and approved. If another change is desired, another written request should be submitted in writing.


How do maintenance requests work?

Maintenance requests can be submitted through the Tenant App or by calling the office at (985) 262-4186.


Are locks changed between tenants?

For your safety, locks are changed between every tenants.


How is the neighborhood?

We have properties all over the Houma and Gray area, so we cannot give a blanket answer to this question. If you are interested in a location, we encourage you to look on Google Maps, drive through the neighborhood at different times of the day and different days of the week, and even talk to a neighbor or the mailman if you see them out!
